FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE - Englewood Music Festival signs SW Florida recording artists "Tuk’r Hill" and "Passion For Power" to headline Friday March 9th
The Englewood Rotary Club, in conjunction with many, many local businesses, are once again sponsoring the event. which is a major fundraiser for The Englewood Youth Foundation. "Based on feedback I'm getting, our past sponsors that have helped make this event a smashing success in previous years, will be joined by a large group of new, enthusiastic supporters," said the event promoter, Jack Gray. "This, the third annual Englewood Music Festival, and will be the biggest and best ever. We're still lining up sponsors and entertainment now, and we have solid commitments from several great sponsors, like the Rotary Club, and PODS moving and storage, as well as some of the top local and national talent, like Tuk'r Hill, and Passion for Power. We even have Glenn Leonard, former lead singer for "The Temptations" in the entertainment lineup."
Don Beaumont, a spokesman for the Southwest Florida recording artists Tuk’r Hill states,"We’re almost done with our second album, which is tentatively titled 'Made in the USA' - we’re going to release it to the public at the festival, on the evening of March 9th, 2012."
The all-original album contains several compositions that have never been heard by anyone outside the band. "We've kept this all under tight wraps until now. We've really worked hard on the songs, and the production, as well as the music itself. It's the best we've ever made. We're all very excited about this," Beaumont continues. "I think everyone is going to be incredibly moved by the title track,'Made in the USA.'"
Tuk'r Hill's music is not easy to label, but is usually described as 'Americana.' Their unique trademark sound is an eclectic hybrid of rock, country, jazz, progressive, bluegrass, and folk influences with rich, multipart vocal harmonies that have been described as sounding 'Beatle-esque' or reminiscent of Crosby, Stills, and Nash.
Media coverage of the Englewood Music Festival has historically been very good since its inception, and it is expected that this year will be no exception. Local television, radio, and print media have solidly committed to promote the festival. "There's already a buzz around Collier, Lee, Charlotte, De Soto, Glades, Hendry, and Sarasota counties," says Beaumont,"Amazing… I've talked to people from as far away as Orlando that said they were planning to attend. They already knew about the event. That blew me away. I was, like,'WOW... how'd you hear about it already?' I guess that's what good publicity and organization gets you. I am glad that Jack Gray of Gray Matter Entertainment is leading the parade on this one. He knows how to get things done."
Tuk'r Hill and Passion for Power, who have formed a musical alliance that is exceptionally rare in the dog-eat-dog music industry, will both take the stage on the evening of Friday, March 9th, 2012, and will be available in the afternoon immediately prior to their respective performances, and after the show, for autographs and pictures with fans and friends.
There are two particular items of note, from a human interest perspective, regarding the two fast up-and-coming local groups, SW FL recording artists Tuk’r Hill, and Passion for Power:
The first item is the official release of the Tuk’r Hill CD, their second album, at the festival on the evening of March 9th, 2012, which is tentatively titled,'Made in the USA.' The album will contain all-new original music from Tuk’r Hill, and will feature as its title cut, the song 'Made in the USA,' which is described by Tuk'r Hill management as 'a highly patriotic country-rock anthem for modern day Americans.'
The second item is that Passion for Power will be offering an extremely rare preview at the Englewood Music Festival, of their Rock Opera entitled 'Death of the Illuminati.' The rock opera, featuring a dazzling light show, complete with synchronized video projection, will be broadcast as a pay-per-view event in worldwide syndication from the famous Canopy Club, in Urbana, IL on Thursday, March 29th, 2012.
Tuk’r Hill (tukrhill.com) is available for press conferences, and interviews, and can be contacted through their website. Passion for Power can be contacted through their Facebook page by searching for "Passion for Power" on Facebook.
"We love the media, and we're making ourselves available to anyone that wants to talk about the Englewood Music Festival, or our album, or whatever. We're honored and humbled by the attention," said Beaumont. "We'll get press kits, video, music, or whatever, to anyone from the press that asks. They're helping us, and we don't forget that. I know the guys in Passion for Power feel the same. We're having a lot of fun coordinating projects together. There's a definite synergy effect."
Tuk'r Hill and Passion for Power are hoping to help the organizers of the Englewood Music Festival make this an event to remember.
